Vet24’s ECC specialist earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, completing an internship in Boston and a residency in Comparative Anesthesiology & Critical Care at the University of Minnesota. She later developed the Intensive Care Unit at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, serving as ICU Director and Anaesthetist. Her expertise in anaesthesia led her to assist with surgeries on gorillas, polar bears, and other large zoo animals at the Boston Zoo.

Vet24’s Criticality and Hospital Director has extensive experience in emergency and critical care, having contributed to multiple veterinary hospitals. She previously established and coordinated the Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre, integrating it with Murdoch’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She then became Critical Care Director at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital in the USA, where she helped build a new facility and reorganize its Emergency and Critical Care services. After returning to Australia, she joined Vet24 Balcatta, where she developed their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and continues to lead the hospital.

Vet24’s Criticality and Hospital Director is a dedicated advocate for continued education, mentoring interns, residents, nurses, and technicians. She has held leadership roles as Clinical Director of Nursing at Angell Memorial and Dove Lewis and Co-Director of the intern and residency program at Dove Lewis.
She established Angell’s first community veterinary Blood Bank and served as a veterinary advisor for both Angell and Dove Lewis’ blood banks. A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and a Registered Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care, she specializes in anaesthesia, pain management, sepsis, transfusion medicine, trauma, and nutrition.
Widely published and internationally recognized, she has spoken to veterinarians, nurses, students, and the public on emergency and critical care topics.
